Battery and Steel Wool Fire Starter
by: Oldskool

A 9v battery and a clump of steel wool makes a great fire. Pull the wool to thin strands and twist the ends. Hold the two ends on each battery terminal until the strands in the middle glow red hot under your tinder. A gentle airflow will catch a flame with little effort.

You can even make it easier if you have a battery and two cables. Connect the cables to the + and the ? . Then touch the cable ends together. There you have your arch.
