Great Knife
by: Kevin W

I've had mine for 30 years.....Still holding up great....
The sheath is getting pretty ragged...I'll end up making a new sheath for it.
I use a traditional whetstone (medium/fine) to sharpen it.
It holds a good edge for quite awhile..

Oldie But A Greatie!
by: CygnusX1981

I got mine from my dad, who got his while he served the U.S. Navy in Vietnam. After all these years it is still the best knife I own. I have a lot of knives, but this one is my top pick for a lot of activities. My dad sometimes says that he wishes he still had his!

It has been on many trips. Has never let me down. I have a new one to replace the old one if need be but I don't think it well ever happen.

Great grunt work knife
by: Papabob

I also have one of these knives, I use it along side with my Mora knife.

This knife is reserved for the tasks that involve grit, dirt, hammering, splitting wood, etc. Its an awful knife for fine carving or field dressing animals (fur, fin or feathers), but thats what my Mora is for.

To keep it sharp I just use a carbide sharpener and sometimes a fine metal file.

My knife is 16 years old and still going strong.

Only problem I have is:
by: "Wood Rat"

I've owned a couple of these and found them to be great knives but I live in the Willamette Valley and have found that I have a lot of problems with the leather handle. The saw actually works though and that's saying a lot as most saws are just for looks.
