Mosquito
Bugs like flies and mosquitoes will hang around water. If you happen to hear a lot of buzzing, then you should be close to a water source. Make sure you have the basic wilderness skills to safely enjoy your trip.

Comment That is very true and in arid areas if you notice bees and or flies you are very close to water. I think it is the fly that can't survive much farther than 500 feet from a water source. After all bees travel great distances to collect pollen.
