Mosquito
Bugs like flies and mosquitoes will hang around water. If you happen to hear a lot of buzzing, then you should be close to a water source.

Comment That is very true and in arid areas if you notice bees and or flies you are very close to water. I think it is the fly that can't survive much farther than 500 feet from a water source. After all bees travel great distances to collect pollen.
