I ended up purchasing the Gerber LMF II Survival. I was won over by the knife being made in USA and having a decent high carbon steel.
It turned out to be a decent knife, good tactical sheath for MOLLE attachment, but the friction lock started to peel back the grip very quickly.

I recommend this knife for military and paramilitary, but not really for belt-carry civilian use. I sent the knife back and got a RAT Cutley (now ESEE Knives) RC-5. This knife is amazing.
