There is a psychology
to outdoor survival

outdoor survival

You will face many different kinds of stress in an outdoor survival situation. Stress can inspire you to perform at your maximum efficiency. But stress can also cause you to panic and forget all your training and all the outdoor survival techniques you have learned.

The will to survive

State of mind is an important factor in survival. You are not lost, you just don't know where you are! Remain calm and look around you and find the resources you need to keep yourself alive. You have a strong will to survive!

Some people with little or no training have managed to survive life-threatening circumstances. Others with training have not used their learned skills and died. Mainly because they don’t really have the right attitude to survive.

Having the will to survive is essential if you face a wilderness emergency situation. Read an amazing story that will show you why. However, experience is the best teacher in any situation and your reaction in an emergency situation depends on your education. Good judgement in combination with the right knowledge and skills will give you an advantage in any risky situation.

Conclusion:

Those who are mentally and physically prepared to survive when they face a survivor challenge are more likely to do so.
