Everyone is concerned about weight in their packs. Shelter is mandatory if you are caught unexpectedly in the back country. Our members carry Tyvek (construction house wrap) in their pack.

Wash it once in the washing machine and it becomes soft and manageable. Then install grommets on the corners along with 50lb fishing line as tie offs.

It is windproof and waterproof. Most of all it weighs almost nothing.
