Try one you might like it

Bought an S-1 a few years ago and it has served me well. Recently plunked down the money for an A-1 and have not been disappointed. The A-1 is a wonder, the things it can do are amazing. It is a little on the large side, compared to the S-1, but in the hand it seems to disappear and become part of your hand. I have read many pro and con comments about the grip material and the only thing I choose to say on the matter is that after several years of relatively hard use the S-1 shows absolutely no sign of wear and is still comfortable in the hand. I'm no knife or survival expert, but I am a practical man who has had a lifelong love of the outdoors and have spent considerable time on my own there. I've been happy with my fallkniven knives and I think many others would be too!

Ultimate survival knife??
by: John

I personally don't believe that there is a single
ultimate survival knife. While I do admit the A5 is a great knife I do think you need a Small, sharp, and dependable knife for dressing out game with fine detail and also a big, what Doug Ritter calls a "sharpened pry bar" for heavy chores in the wood gathering and shelter building chores. My personal choices that I obtained are the Jerry Busse "Battle Mistress" and the "High Street"(about 4 1/2 inch blade). The destruction tests on UTube speaks for its self on the INFI steel Jerry uses to make these knives. And also a good sharpening stone, my choice here was the America Stone. I have no claim to fame
just my thoughts on the subject.

Ultimate survival knife

Excellent choice the Fällkniven is a little expensive. I own both the Schrade SCHF9 and SCHF3 Extreme Survival Fixed Blade Knife I purchased both for less than the cost of one Fällkniven.

I bought the Fallkniven-A1 two years ago and I have used it heavily. Very, very good wilderness knife.
I recommend this knife.
