Ultimate survival knife

The ultimate survival knife,in my opinion, is called Fallkniven - A1 Army Survival Knife. It is a semi-large all-purpose knife for heavy duty use. The blade is made of high quality stainless steel with a length of 6” (15 cm). The blade has a convex edge, which make it suitable for both chopping and cutting.





The full tang goes entirely through the high-friction rubber handle. This is the type of tool you need for tough tasks in the wilderness.

The weatherproof, black zytel sheath secures the knife in place by both friction and a snap loop.

Fallkniven A1 is very well balanced and a very well made item. This knife has met and exceeded my expectations.

I personally don't believe that there is a single
ultimate survival knife. While I do admit the A5 is a great knife I do think you need a Small, sharp, and dependable knife for dressing out game with fine detail and also a big, what Doug Ritter calls a "sharpened pry bar" for heavy chores in the wood gathering and shelter building chores. My personal choices that I obtained are the Jerry Busse "Battle Mistress" and the "High Street"(about 4 1/2 inch blade). The destruction tests on UTube speaks for its self on the INFI steel Jerry uses to make these knives. And also a good sharpening stone, my choice here was the America Stone. I have no claim to fame
just my thoughts on the subject.

Excellent choice the Fällkniven is a little expensive. I own both the Schrade SCHF9 and SCHF3 Extreme Survival Fixed Blade Knife I purchased both for less than the cost of one Fällkniven.

I bought the Fallkniven-A1 two years ago and I have used it heavily. Very, very good wilderness knife.
I recommend this knife.
