Wilderness Photo Gallery
Download and use these images for your website, blog, print needs, projects, fun, school, whatever!
Click on the image of the photo you want to download to your computer. A new browser window will open and the photo will start to download. Depending on your connection, this can take from a few seconds to a minute. The jpg-file is about 2-3Mb in size (2121x1414 pixels). Once downloaded, right-click and select "Save image as" to save.
Reduce the size
Depending on how you want to use your photo you maybe want to reduce the size (resolution) of the jpg-file. Use a graphics program, and reduce the image size and/or dpi. After choosing your dimensions and dpi (dots per inch), click "Save As" and give the "reduced image" a new name, so that you don't overwrite the original with a "lesser" quality one.
Don't have a graphic program on your computer? The Paint program that comes with Windows will do just fine.
First open the picture in Paint. Paint should be on Start, All Programs..., Accessories. Once you have Paint open, hit its File menu, and click the Open item, and locate and load your image file. Reduce the size by going to "image" on the toolbar and then "stretch". For the percentages for horizontal (stretch) and vertical (stretch) you put what you want. Have no idea what percentages to use? Test with 50%, the size will reduce to about 10%.
Save to your computer. Don't forget to use a new name.
