Gerber knife

by Scott Odom

Gerber knife

Gerber knife

Gerber makes great survival Knives. They are not so long that you have to tie them to your leg which can be uncomfortable. You really don't want a stainless steel blade, because it is hard to sharpen and don't keep a good edge.

Gerber Big Rock Camp Knife
by: Anonymous

I more recently purchased the Gerber Big Rock Camp knife and I would like to say that I do not think you can find a better survival knife in this price range! (I paid $25.00) for mine). Many of the knives I have reviewed cost twice as much (If not more)as this knife and did not really offer any additional features.

Gerber Gator
by: Spyder

My favorite survival knife so far is the Gerber Gator. Mine does not have a gut hook or serration. Eventually I would like to get a SOG seal pup, but right now this knife works great. It is relatively cheap at $40 US. It has a great grip and a very good blade. I recommend it.

Always bring a diamond sharpener with your knife.
