The Gerber LMF II

I'm really into the outdoors, and go camping quite a bit. Whenever I go camping, I always bring my Gerber LMF II. It was designed by someone in the military for survival.





It has a 5 inch blade, and a great handle for grip. This knife also has grooves in the handle along with 3 holes drilled in it for lashing a stick on to make a spear. At the butt of the knife they put a pointed tip for breaking things such as plexiglas in a cockpit, or breaking through brick, or skull or what ever.

Ok thats enough, its a great knife, and it comes with a leg strap or can be attached to a Kevlar vest, and the sheath has a great sharpener built into it .

I bought the Gerber LMF II knife, I deserves five stars because it is an excellent knife, however, I wish Gerber would make the LMF II in a straight edge model to make it the perfect knife and to earn the fifth star. Nice sheath also.

I hav the gerber prodigy. its pretty much just a smaller version of the LMF II, w/out the shapener, has only one leg strap, smaller, and doesnt have a hammer on the end, but does have a window smasher and such.

I also own the Gerber LMF II and have to agree that it is at the high end of the top 5 best survival knives i've ever owned.

I have to say my favorite survival knife is the Gerber LMF II survival knife,it,s a nice knife to have when you are lost.
